William is the Chief Risk Officer. He oversees our overall portfolio risks and executes our risk management policies accordingly. William sits in the Investment Committee and also spearheads our efforts in data analytics and quantitative research.

Since joining the company in 2007, William has applied his training in engineering and computer science to develop and structure Chartwell’s proprietary valuation and research system – to leverage on human input and maximize efficiency in research analysis. William’s contribution towards research is his in-depth knowledge of the TMT and semiconductor sectors.

William, who is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English, was born and raised in Hong Kong. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the United States.
