Kosei Kobayashi has been an advisor to Chartwell Capital Japan since 2019. He is the President and CEO of KK Holdings Inc., a consulting and M&A advisory company. Prior to founding KK Holdings, Mr Kobayashi held the position of Senior Managing Director at a Japanese luxury magazine publisher, which helped him to establish an extensive business network in Japan. Before pursuing a career in publishing, he worked at several investment banks in New York, including Mitsubishi UFJ Bank. He earned a Master of Science in Publishing from the School of Professional Studies at New York University. He has served as the President of the NYU Alumni Club in Japan since 2017 and he is also a founding member of Asia Society Japan.
