Richard Sun joined Chartwell’s Advisory board in 2021, bringing his profound experience in business, accounting, and corporate governance. Mr. Sun is highly regarded in Hong Kong after his 25 year tenure as a partner of PwC. After becoming an Audit Partner in 1996, he held various leadership positions covering Hong Kong and Mainland China. From 2009 to 2014, he served as a member of the Listing Committee of Hong Kong Stock Exchanges and Clearing Limited. Prior to his retirement from PwC in 2021, he concurrently acted as Lead Director of the Governance Boards of PwC China and PwC Asia Pacific and was a member of the PwC Global Board. He previously held directorships with the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute and the Estates Agents Authority. He has served as a member of the Governance Committee of the foundation fund of his alma mater, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) since 2014. He was appointed a Justice of the Peace in 2012.
